Our Story

Every Thread Carries a Story

Fashionista Aari began in a small room in Jaffna, with a single embroidery frame and a collection of gold thread passed down through three generations of needlework. What started as embroidery for family weddings slowly grew, through word of mouth, into a studio trusted by brides across the North.

We still work the way we always have — one hook, one thread, one motif at a time. Nothing leaves our hands until every stitch sits exactly where it should. For us, embroidery isn't decoration; it's a quiet record of care, made to be worn on a day you'll remember for the rest of your life.

Our Craft

What Makes Our Work Special

A handful of quiet principles that shape everything we stitch.

Hand-Guided Precision

Every motif is drawn freehand and stitched with an Aari hook, one loop at a time — never machine-replicated, never rushed.

Fabric-First Thinking

Designs are shaped around the drape and weight of your exact fabric, so the embroidery moves the way the garment moves.

Colour Matched to You

Thread, bead and stone tones are chosen against your skin tone, saree and the lighting of your event — not a swatch card.

Care Beyond the Stitch

Fitting checks, careful packaging and after-care guidance accompany every bridal piece we send home.
